Tackle Box Darent Valley 8ft Specialist Quiver Rod

The philosophy behind the Darent Valley rod range is to take advantage of modern manufacturing techniques and materials to create exceptionally high performance rods at very affordable prices.
Darent Valley rods bring the fun back into fishing.

This 8ft power house is another bespoke blank which has been developed for the Darent Valley range, the breakdown configuration allows for a compact pack down length of 3ft 3.5ins (1 Metre). Specialist anglers will find a multitude of uses for this rod, especially in confined situations.
This rod can be used as an 8ft power feeder/quiver, float or drop shot rod. There is immense power in the butt section if needed to be called upon, however the tip to middle brings finesse to the action easing in the power to avoid hook pulls.
Supplied with two carbon push in quiver tips, 1oz and a 2oz, the red tipped version is the 1oz, it is rung traditionally for detecting finer bites when using feeders and leads. The yellow tip version is the 2oz and is rung with stand-off guides, this allows the rod to be used as a feeder or float or drop shot rod.
4 different test curve quiver tips are available, which fit both the 10ft and 8ft Darent Valley Specialist quiver tip rods. 1oz and 1.5oz have low set guides fitted and have red tips, the 2oz and 2.5oz are fitted with high set guides and have yellow colour tips.
The careful guide spacing’s allows this rod to packed down using the Fold Friendly method for safer transportation.
Supplied in a rod and reel sleeve.

Safety Instructions for Fishing Rods

1. Inspection of the Rod
   - Before each use, check the rod for visible damage, such as cracks in the blank or damaged guides. Do not use a rod that shows signs of damage.

2. Safe Handling
   - Always hold the fishing rod by the grip to prevent slipping.
   - Ensure that the rod is free of obstacles when casting to avoid injuries to others or damage to the rod itself.

3. Avoiding Hazards from Power Lines
   - Be cautious never to fish near power lines. Maintain a safe distance from electrical cables when casting or handling your rod to reduce the risk of electrical shocks.

4. Fishing During Thunderstorms
   - Avoid fishing during thunderstorms or when storms are imminent. Water is a good conductor of electricity, so fishing in such conditions can be extremely dangerous.

5. Proper Transport Methods
   - Transport fishing rods in a suitable rod sleeve or case to protect them from damage.
   - Avoid bending or overloading the rod excessively to prevent breakage.

6. Preventing Hook Injuries
   - Be particularly careful with hooks while handling the rod. Keep the hook away from your body to avoid self-injury.

7. Awareness of Surroundings
   - Pay attention to ensure there are no obstacles in the way when casting or fishing that could damage the rod or pose a danger to others.

8. After Use
   - Clean the rod after use to protect it from dirt, saltwater, or other harmful substances.
   - Store the rod in a dry place to prolong the life of the material.
