With a selected transport size, it has never been easier to become a true opportunist angler. These double-extension telescopic rods offer the shortest pack size for a two-piece 12-foot rod that we can imagine. For anglers who love the opportunistic fishing style, we have developed this hardcore range of rods. Designed to function well in both flowing water and still waters, the Opportunist XTND+ rods combine high-modulus carbon blanks with Minima-style guides, slim cork handles, and anti-frap tip guides.
Complementing the existing series of 10-foot rods that shrink to the same size as a two-piece 8-foot rod, the new 12-foot versions are double-extension for a compact transport length. All can be easily and effectively stored in our Opportunist luggage series.

Safety Instructions for Fishing Rods
1. Inspection of the Rod
- Before each use, check the rod for visible damage, such as cracks in the blank or damaged guides. Do not use a rod that shows signs of damage.
2. Safe Handling
- Always hold the fishing rod by the grip to prevent slipping.
- Ensure that the rod is free of obstacles when casting to avoid injuries to others or damage to the rod itself.
3. Avoiding Hazards from Power Lines
- Be cautious never to fish near power lines. Maintain a safe distance from electrical cables when casting or handling your rod to reduce the risk of electrical shocks.
4. Fishing During Thunderstorms
- Avoid fishing during thunderstorms or when storms are imminent. Water is a good conductor of electricity, so fishing in such conditions can be extremely dangerous.
5. Proper Transport Methods
- Transport fishing rods in a suitable rod sleeve or case to protect them from damage.
- Avoid bending or overloading the rod excessively to prevent breakage.
6. Preventing Hook Injuries
- Be particularly careful with hooks while handling the rod. Keep the hook away from your body to avoid self-injury.
7. Awareness of Surroundings
- Pay attention to ensure there are no obstacles in the way when casting or fishing that could damage the rod or pose a danger to others.
8. After Use
- Clean the rod after use to protect it from dirt, saltwater, or other harmful substances.
- Store the rod in a dry place to prolong the life of the material.
