Its meat is considered a delicacy by local farmers who rely on agriculture. Because porcupines are often viewed as pests that destroy crops, they are frequently shot to keep them away from farmland.

Natural Defense: Porcupines have large black and white quills on their backs that protect them from predators. These quills easily detach and can be found in nature.

Modified Hair: Porcupine quills are modified hairs with a thick keratin layer, resembling human fingernails. Burning a quill produces a similar smell to burning human nails.

Sustainability: Our porcupine quills are sourced legally from deceased porcupines or from those that naturally shed their quills. We do not kill porcupines solely for their quills.
